Delimondo Corned Beef

I was buying groceries in Cash & Carry when I saw my fave corned beef right beside my fave canned spicy bamboo shoots (Chao San Si). I instagrammed it of course. My cousin-in-law Candy saw my post and said that Delimondo is also her favorite. She lives in Isabela and stays in QC when she’s in Manila so she hasn’t had our fave corned beef in a long time.

It’s her birthday next week so I thought of going to the Delimondo store to get a couple of cans as a gift. Sweet ‘di’ba? Birthday gift na delata? Hihihi! :p

Delimondo is in the Petra & Pilar restaurant in Exportbank Drive, Makati. You can check out my post about Petra & Pilar here.

It’s also been a while since I was last in that part of Makati so I was surprised to find out about the renovation. Or rebranding. Whatever. Goodbye, Petra & Pilar. Hello, Ladera.

Same owner, but instead of the sosyal carinderia style, it will be like Santi’s. Btw, it’s owned by JPE’s daughter, Miss Katrina Ponce-Enrile.

Delimondo has a wide array of goodies like anti-pasti, marinades, glazes, dips, spreads, sausages, oils, condiments, and bacons.

The nost popular among their items are their corned beef and luncheon meat.

The corned beef comes in Ranch Style and Garlic & Chili. I like the latter better. The 260g can is 115php and the 380g can is 160php.

You can’t go wrong with the 100% pure cattle beef cured with select spices and cut in long shreds.

The simplest way to prepare it is by sauteeing it with onions and serving it with rice or bread.

It’s also good with potatoes and cabbage. Or with tomatoes and cream and poured over pasta.

Found out that Delimondo canned meat can be bought not only in JAKA Center and Cash & Carry but also in some Puregold, Robinsons, Walter Mart, Metro Gaisano, Landmark, Shopwise, Rustans, Tropical Hut Supermarket, and Hi-Top outlets. And in all S&R branches!

The full Delimondo deli line is only available at the JAKA Center though. Aside from the corned beef, I also recommend that you try their Bacalao ala Mestiza, Dulong in Olive Oil, and Smoked Kielbasa!

Happy eating! Don’t forget to share! :)
