It was hard to choose from ‘Cue Modern Barbecue’s menu! There are a lot of tulo laway-inducing dishes like The Rib-Eye With Footlong Bone Marrow, Grilled Peri-Peri Chicken With Watermelon Pickles, and The Wine and Coffee Burger!
After arguing what’s the best combo to get (shempre, we share food hehe), we decided on Angus Beef Belly and Blackened Salmon Steak. They gave us complimentary cheese popcorn while we wait for our food. I washed it down with the cool and sweet Watermelon-Mango-Mint Shake (P185)- one of their mixed fruit shakes. They also have Grape-Ginger and Green Mango-Basil, and Strawberries-Banana.
The Angus Beef Belly (P695) – it’s dark ale-braised, mustard-crusted beef belly. It’s served with gravy and half an onion.
The chunk of beef served had thin layers of glorious fat and super tender, melt in your mouth meat. The taste made us focus on joy instead of guilt. Hehe! :P
We were given creamy horseradish sauce to try with the belly. Its slight spiciness went well with the meat, but we still liked the gravy better. I think it will also be good with their chimichurri.
Blackened Salmon Steak (P565) – Cajun-rubbed 225gram fillet of tasty, cooked to perfection fish! What I liked better than the fish was the buttermilk mashed potatoes it was served with. YUUUUMMMM!!! The small mixed green salad was also pretty darn good. I’d love to copy the citrus dressing!
Apart from the worth-your-every-peso dishes, their elegant façade and pretty interiors plus their very helpful and friendly staff are reasons why you should dine here at ‘Cue.
