Abra Miki ni Nanay – Kamias, Quezon City

One of my favorite things to do after a drinking session is to eat something hot or savory. Got to enjoy both in the form of Abra Miki. We went there after our Red Horse-balut-chicharong hangin sesh in Naranghita St.

Abra Miki ni Nanay is owned by Boy Abunda and friends. Most of the ingredients are sourced from Abra.

Abra Miki is a noodle dish made of miki noodles cooked in pork broth. Its orange color comes from annatto seeds (atsuete). We all got the Super Special Miki which has a hard boiled egg, shredded pork, and bits of chicharon added to the soup.

Didn’t expect the bowl to be that ginormous. I loved it, definitely an awesome post-drinking grub. Ang dami-daming chicharon! :D And it was served piping hot. Tunaw agad amats ko eh! Hahaha!

Too bad they didn’t have any bibingka available that time. Ang sarap pa naman ng Ilocos bibingka. Oh well, I’m sure we’ll be back there the next time we get a hankering for something hot and savory again.
