Revisiting Slice Café – BGC, Taguig

Slice Café is the place to go for all of us yema-lovers. And if yema isn’t really on top of your must-eat list go away then I’m sure they have other nomnoms that can make you go YUM!

slice1

I first visited Slice in August of last year and it was love at first bite that I felt for their ChocoYema Cupcake. Yumyumyumyumyum!!! Even my friend said it’s delicious for at least five times. Although that could’ve been the sugar rush talking. Or ADHD.

It’s awesome that they have other yema desserts available now like Caramel Yema Chiffon Cake (150php/slice). Naknang. Yema na, caramel pa! Two of my favorite sweets! Meron rin silang Double Yema something cake. Na-overwhelm na ako sa yumminess kaya hindi ko na maalala ‘yung tawag!

slice3

But wait! There’s more! They now have Yema Cheesecake! It’s 260(?)php a slice… seems steep but hey, IT’S YEMA CHEESECAKE!!!

Another pretty and delicious looking cake is the Trés Leches. So pretty I might not be able to eat it. Charot! Ubos ko ‘yan agad! Hah! Iya 101: basta yema, leche flan, pastillas, caramel and the likes, asahan mo, hindi ko papalampasin!

Their muffins are also pretty good. My latest fave is the Corny J. It’s a corn and jalapeño muffin that has the perfect sweet-savory-spicy balance. Ang sarap siguro nito with pasta with red sauce or baked chicken!

slice6

A cupcake of theirs that caught our attention was the Sir Francis M. Bacon Cupcake. If you do not understand the reference, HAHAHA. Remember, Google is your friend. :p Cute name but the taste was just okay. The name and the candied bacon make it a hit, me thinks.

slice7

I have yet to eat the non-dessert dishes at Slice. I have a feeling that they will not disappoint. Saw a photo of their Eggs Benedict and wow! Mukhang breakfast of champions!

slice8

Haaaay…Sana magkaron na ng Slice sa Makati. Calling Sen. Pia Cayetano! Please po, magtayo na kayo sa Greenbelt! :D
